FAQ

Which part of Sukhumvit should I stay in?

For the easiest transport, aim for the Asok end (Soi 21–23) right by the BTS-MRT interchange and Terminal 21 mall. If nightlife and late dining matter more, the Nana-to-Soi-11 side puts you closer to the action.

Is Sukhumvit good for first-time visitors?

Very much so. Both the BTS and MRT run through here, English signage is everywhere, food is easy to find, and there are malls and convenience stores on every corner. It's an easy place to get your bearings if you've never been to Bangkok.

How easy is it to get around from Sukhumvit?

Very easy. From Asok the BTS runs straight to Siam and down to Silom, and the MRT connects to Hua Lamphong and Bang Sue Grand Station. For Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Airport Rail Link starts at nearby Makkasan station.
